Celebrity Waiter Event to Kick off Cadillac Raffle

Southwest Healthcare Services’ annual fundraiser, known as the Celebrity Waiter Dinner, is drawing closer and the reality of a dream starts to take final shape.
Early last summer, Martin Rolfsnes asked me to raffle off his 1978 Cadillac for Southwest Healthcare Services. It was difficult to see how that would work out, or if it was even possible to make his wish come true. His one stipulation though, was that the car was to be raffled off after it turned 40 years old, so it would be considered an antique.
Martin passed away Aug. 28, 2017, but the ruby red car had already been turned over to SWHS, waiting for its 40th birthday to arrive.
The committee for the 9th Annual Celebrity Waiter Dinner event felt this would be a great opportunity to kick-off the raffle for Martin's pride and joy Cadillac. Limited tickets will be sold for $10 a piece until April 7, Martin’s birthday. What could be a more perfect date for the drawing as Martin would have turned 99 years old?
The winner will be chosen at the activity room of SWHS Long Term Care with the drawing and a birthday cake to celebrate Martin and Ellen's generosity.
Martin and Ellen Rolfsnes were very giving to many local needs for this community they loved. On Saturday, March 3, we hope you will be joining us in making their last philanthropy wish a success. Stop on by "The Classics" table at Celebrity Waiter and purchase your chance to cruise the streets in this special car.
