Southwest Healthcare Services has an opportunity for a dependable Medical Lab Technologist to join our laboratory team. We are looking for a full-time tech to work flexible day shifts in our Critical Access Hospital, and Rural Health Clinic with rotating call on evenings and weekends.

Job Description:
Responsible for pre-analytical, analytical, and post-analytical phases of testing. Works independently to obtain accurate, timely patient results. This position also requires effective communication and teamwork.
Key Responsibilities:
- Phlebotomy and specimen collection
- Ability to use laboratory computer systems
- Quality control and documentation
- Maintenance and calibrations of all analyzers
- Accurate, timely patient results
- Proficiency testing
- DOT/non-DOT drug collections and breath alcohol testing
- Participates in quality improvement and departmental goal projects
- Participates in accrediting agency surveys
Requirements:
- Bachelor of Science in Medical Technology, Microbiology, Chemistry, Biology or nationally recognized certification for Medical Technology (ASCP, HEW, ABOR or other accredited agency).
- Must also currently hold or be eligible for North Dakota licensure as MT or MLT.
- Must obtain and maintain current DOT and non-DOT drug collection and breath alcohol testing certifications.
