APP - Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant

Southwest Healthcare Services is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider for our Critical Access Hospital that includes a rural health clinic, acute care, long-term swing bed, and emergency services. Responsible for providing medical services as a Physician Assistant/Nurse Practitioner according to scope of practice for the provider. Representative duties include providing diagnostic, therapeutic, and preventive health care services to patients of all ages.

Must have skills, ability, and judgment to include but not limited to:
• Taking complete patient history
• Performing complete physical examination
• Performing or assisting with routine procedure
• Ordering and reviewing diagnostic tests and referrals
• Interpreting and evaluating data to determine patient management and treatment
• Providing patient teaching instructions and guidance
• Documenting pertinent data in medical record in a timely fashion Compassionate, high quality, and comprehensive health care a must when providing treatment to our patients along with courteous and professional communication to both patients and staff.

• Emergency Room on-call coverage with physician backup after clinic hours.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Current North Dakota license or ability to acquire it as a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner required.
• Current North Dakota DEA certificate required.

CLINIC HOURS:

• Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.
• Emergency Room on-call coverage with physician backup after clinic hours.
