Pharmacist

Southwest Healthcare Services is looking for a self-driven and experienced Pharmacist to oversee the day-to-day pharmacy management of our Critical Access Hospital. High performance is essential in improving operational effectiveness; assuring patient, family and staff satisfaction; providing clinical excellence; maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements; and achieving the professional and organizational goals of the hospital while providing a high level of dynamic leadership

Southwest Healthcare Services is located in Bowman, North Dakota which is in the southwest corner of the state. We are located close to the beautiful badlands and close to the black hills. Our organization is comprised of a 35-bed critical access hospital, a rural health clinic, visiting nurse services, emergency ambulance service, 6 independent senior apartments and a 12-unit assisted living facility. We are the largest employer in an agriculture and oil/gas community.

The Pharmacist will be responsible for the overall functions of an inpatient pharmacy within a critical-access hospital to include regulatory compliance, fiscal responsibility, and services are a clinical resource for the medical and professional staff.

This position will direct our facility’s pharmaceutical services in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations that govern nursing care facilities to ensure that the highest degree of quality care can be provided.

Required Education & Experience:

Graduate of a college of pharmacy accredited by the American Council of Pharmaceutical Education (ACPE) with a minimum of a Bachelor of Science Degree in Pharmacy. Preferred: Master’s Degree or Pharm.D.

Must currently be a registered pharmacist in good standing with the North Dakota State Board of Pharmacy. Must maintain adequate continuing education units (CEU’s) as required for licensure. Must be CPR certified.

Two years’ experience in a hospital setting with related management experience preferred.
